Will students studying at your school have a seamless progression to the next grade?
答：本校将于2025年9月起提供15年一贯课程（幼儿园K1至K3、小学G1至G6及中学G7至G12）。学生需在学校安排的学期评估中达到升学要求即可实现直升。在整个教学及升学的流程中，我们非常重视每位学生的学习情况。如果有学生在学习上遇到困难挑战，我们会在帮助学生夯实学业基础的同时，充分理解家长与学生的需要和建议，尽力为大家提供最周全的支援和便利，确保他们能够顺利迈向更高的学术阶段。
Our school will offer a 15-year integrated curriculum starting from September 2025 (from Kindergarten K1 to K3, Primary G1 to G6, and Secondary G7 to G12). Students can advance directly to the next grade by passing the term assessments arranged by the school. Throughout the teaching and progression process, we place great importance on each student’s learning situation. If any student encounters difficulties, we will not only help them to solidify their academic foundation but also fully understand the needs and concerns of both parents and students, striving to provide the most comprehensive support and convenience, ensuring they can progress smoothly to higher academic stages.

Answer: The strength of the faculty at the school is impressive. Under the leadership of Dr Halina Poon, the Head of School, we have assembled a team of teachers with extensive knowledge in international education, boasting rich academic backgrounds and professional expertise. This team includes individuals holding doctoral and master’s degrees who are dedicated to creating a high-quality international education environment. The faculty comprises educational elites from around the world, including those who have worked and studied in regions such as the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, France, the UK, and the USA. This diversity provides students with a variety of cultural perspectives. Over 82% of the teaching staff hold master’s or doctoral degrees, with more than 14% possessing doctoral qualifications. 孩子在内地上学，不会说粤语，是否可以报考民心？孩子一直参加内地课程的学习，参加民心线下评估考试会不会有很大的难度？
If a child studies in the Chinese mainland and cannot speak Cantonese, can they apply to Minxin? Will participating in the offline assessments at Minxin be very challenging for a child who has been studying mainland courses?
答：民心学校致力于培养拥有“香港根、中国心、世界观”的大格局思维、具备“两文三语”能力的下一代。校内的课程主要以英语授课，中文相关科目授课语言主要为普通话，对于粤语的掌握并无硬性要求。学校会开设专门的粤语学习课程，帮助非以粤语为母语的学生掌握粤语的基本听说能力，帮助学生更好地融入“两文三语”的校园生活环境。民心学校的线下评估试题由学术评估团队自主命题，主要考核学生掌握核心科目（英国语文、中国语文及数学）的学术能力及知识。
Answer: Minxin School is committed to nurturing broad-minded, biliterate and trilingual students with roots in Hong Kong, a heart for China and a global outlook. The curriculum is primarily taught in English, with Chinese-related subjects mainly taught in Putonghua. There is no strict requirement for proficiency in Cantonese. The school will offer dedicated Cantonese learning courses to help students who are not native Cantonese speakers acquire basic listening and speaking skills, facilitating their integration into the “biliteracy and trilingualism” campus environment. The offline assessment questions at Minxin are independently set by the school’s academic assessment team and mainly evaluate students’ academic abilities and knowledge in core subjects (English Language, Chinese Language, and Mathematics).

民心学校的学生是以自修生的身份，还是以在校生的身份进行DSE考试的呢？以及是否需要回香港参加DSE考试呢？
Do students at Minxin School take the DSE exams as private candidates or as school candidates? Will they need to return to Hong Kong to sit for the DSE exams?
答：民心学校的学生是以在校生的身份参加DSE考试。本校已通过香港学术及职业资历评审局为期超过6个月的严格评审，最后评鉴报告总结民心学校在四大表现指标范畴“管理与组织”、“学与教”、“校风及学生支援”和“学生表现”中，表现优秀，其运作与香港类似的注册学校相若。本校亦已正式成为香港考试及评核局的文凭试“与考学校”，编号“40003”，获准保送在读考生由2025年起参加香港中学文凭考试。本校首届应届毕业生将直接以学校考生身份在本校参加文凭试。
Answer: Students at Minxin School take the DSE exams as school candidates. Our school has passed a rigorous assessment by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, lasting over six months. The final evaluation report concluded that Minxin School performs excellently in the four key performance indicators: “Management and Organisation”, “Teaching and Learning”, “School Culture and Student Support”, and “Student Performance”, with operations similar to registered schools in Hong Kong. Our school has also officially become a HKDSE “Participating School” with the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, with registration number “40003”, allowing enrolled students to participate in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education starting in 2025. The first cohort of graduating students will take the diploma exams at our school as school candidates.

Systematic University Counselling Courses: Starting from Grade 9, students will attend a weekly university counselling course to help them understand the admission process in advance and scientifically plan their future pathways.
Rich Activities and Resources: The university counsellors regularly share information about various activities, including summer schools, open days, and career experiences, allowing students to explore their interests and career directions early on.
Personalised Study Plans: University counsellors will engage in in-depth discussions with students and parents to help formulate suitable study plans, ensuring that students can select the most appropriate universities and majors.
Application Process Guidance: During the application season, university counsellors will assist students in using different application systems and provide personalised writing support, helping them craft excellent personal statements and application materials to successfully apply to their ideal universities.
University Collaboration Opportunities: Our school maintains a close partnership with The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), recommending up to 10 students each year through the “Principal’s Recommendation Scheme”, providing more opportunities for students. Additionally, our school participates in various initiatives, including the Hong Kong Education Bureau’s School-Nominated Direct Admissions Scheme (SNDAS), the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) School Principal’s Nominations (SPN), the Scheme for Admission of Hong Kong Students to Mainland Higher Education Institutions, and recommendation schemes for Peking University, etc.

答：民心学校致力于为学生提供多元的课程选择，除HKDSE和GCE（AS & A Levels）之外，还最快于2025年9月开办IBDP课程。学生可以根据个人的能力、志向、兴趣等选择HKDSE、GCE（AS & A Levels）或IBDP作为课程路径。学校会为学生及家长安排简介会及学生面谈，为每名学生的路径选择提供指导。学生提交申请后，经过学校根据学生的学业及学科表现进行评估与审核，符合相关条件才可选择对应课程。
Answer: Minxin School is committed to providing students with diverse curriculum options. In addition to the HKDSE and GCE (AS & A Levels), we will also offer the IBDP curriculum starting as early as September 2025. Students can choose HKDSE, GCE (AS & A Levels), or IBDP as their curriculum pathway based on their individual abilities, aspirations, and interests. The school will arrange information sessions and student interviews for students and parents to provide guidance on each student’s pathway choice. After submitting their applications, students will be assessed and reviewed based on their academic performance and subject results. Only those who meet the relevant criteria will be allowed to choose their corresponding curriculum.

Answer: Each boarding student is allowed to bring one mobile phone and one computer (tablet or laptop) for learning purposes. The school has established a clear policy for the use of electronic devices, and bringing such devices to school is subject to school regulations. All use of electronic devices must be approved by the teachers. In class, teachers monitor and manage students’ use of electronic devices to ensure that they remain focused on their learning.

The school clinic is equipped with basic medical supplies and commonly used medications to handle common ailments and emergency situations.
